Charlie  - Male, 3 year old  Collie or Sheltie Mix

Charlie is definately a fluffy with a beautiful flowing coat and pluming tail. Charlie came to the shelter after being caught in a trap. Charlie is confident and happy, and passed our temperament assessment easily!

Charlie is a beautiful boy - tan with white and black points and a perfectly sized 37 pounds. He is friendly with humans and female dogs - he may be selective about other males, but we're not sure. He is smart, playful and attentive, and is doing well with his training. He likes to give puppy kisses, cuddle and get belly rubs. Charlie is heartworm positive, but no worries there, as Canine CellMates will be taking care of his heartworm treatment. If this beautiful boy looks like your kind of dog, you need to hurry and get your application in for him - he's sure to be very popular!!

Coming Soon!

After filling out the application, please print and scan it and email to: adopt@caninecellmates.org. As soon as we have received your application, a member of our Adoption Coordination team will be in touch with you. Next, we would like for you to attend one of our meet n' greets to meet your potential new pup face to face (dates and times will be announced on our Events page). Lastly, we will conduct a home visit and introduction to your family (both human and non-human). All of our dogs require an adoption fee.

Canine CellMates dogs are selected from Fulton County Animal Control, a high intake county shelter. Each dog chosen for the program undergoes extensive temperament testing to determine their suitability for our program. Under the supervision of Aly Lecznar of The Animal Scientist and training assistants, the dogs and their handlers spend nine weeks learning basic obedience, and graduate from the program by passing an obedience test similar to the AKC's CGC test.

Canine CellMates’ dogs are available for adoption immediately and will be able to go to their forever homes after graduation. We carefully screen all adoption applications to ensure the right match between dog and person.  Canine CellMates graduates are fully vaccinated, micro chipped, spayed or neutered and are on monthly heartworm prevention.

Kimmiee -  Female, 2 year old Catahoula Leopard Hound Mix

Meet Kimmee!! Her coat is the most enchanting mix of white w/ dark sprinkles and brown points. Her eyes sparkle with lively fun, and her ears - well, you can't forget her ears!! They do what they want, which is usually something delightfully silly. Her personality matches her captivating looks.

Kimmee is highly energetic and fun loving, and she is still very puppy-ish and playful. She is a perfect 33 pounds, and won't get any bigger. She loves to play with humans and other dogs. She is a super smart girl, and is learning at a very fast pace - as long as there is no butterfly to catch her attention - lol! If active is your lifestyle, and tons of fun, with lots of laughter, describes your kind of dog, then Kimmee may be the dog for you!
