CYCLE 16 - AVAILABLE NOW FOR PRE-ADOPTION!!

ADOPT

Lola -  Female - 2 Years - Pit Mix

When we met this lovely little girl, and took her outside to temperament test her, she was so happy she was almost giddy!! She is a tiny bit overweight — well, okay … more than a tiny bit — and watching her do her little "chubby girl zoomies" around the yard was fantastic, and hilarious!!

Lola loves toys … she loves snuggles … she loves attention! And we loved her! So when she passed, we were thrilled to tell her that all that bad stuff, and short term homes, was behind her!
Lola is a beautiful rich mahogany color, with short little legs, and the cutest little floppy ears. We believe her to be a pit mixed with maybe a beagle, based on her head shape and her ears. Nonetheless, she's 100% adorable, and we are sure that if you meet her, you will love her too!!

Canine CellMates dogs are selected from Fulton County Animal Control, a high intake county shelter. Each dog chosen for the program undergoes extensive temperament testing to determine their suitability for our program. Under the supervision of Jeanette Holloway and training assistants, the dogs and their handlers spend nine weeks learning basic obedience, and graduate from the program by passing an obedience test similar to the AKC's CGC test.

Canine CellMates dogs are available for adoption immediately and will be able to go to their forever homes after graduation. We carefully screen all adoption applications to ensure the right match between dog and person.  Canine CellMates graduates are fully vaccinated, micro chipped, spayed or neutered and are on monthly heartworm prevention.

Chief -  Male - 6 Years - Basset Hound/Lab Mix

Chief is a tall, handsome man whose head and long floppy ears are all basset, but his long legs, body shape and double coat are all lab. It may sound like a funny mix, but Chief carries it off in style! He's a very social boy, and loves to be the center of your attention. He may be the oldest dog in the group, but he makes up for his age with his love for play! He loves to play ball, and play with toys - actually, he likes to play anything if a friend is involved in the play with him. And you should see him strut around the girls!! He loves every girl dog he has met, but can be a little male dog selective.

If you like your dogs to have their silly puppy antics behind them, but still have plenty of life left and love to give, then this handsome guy may just be the one for you!

Jazzy - Female - 2 years - Sharpei/Pit Mix

We were drawn to Jazzy's sunny disposition, so we temperament tested her, and we were thrilled when she passed!! After 185 days in the shelter, she was finally going to get to leave!! This chubby girl (we will work on her weight!!) is a sharpei / pit mix, with a golden brown coat, and smiling face. She does love so very much to give kisses - and we have the pictures to prove it!! She is extremely playful, and loves to engage in toy games with her people.

Want to help us make sure that the rest of Jazzy's days are full of fun, without any chains or missed meals?

KALI - Female - 2 Years - Pit Mix

Meet Kali! Kali is a beautiful blue pit, with the sweetest face and softest coat! This poor girl was living in a shed, and though showing signs of being pregnant, puppies were nowhere to be found. After she came in, she developed mastitis. Untreated, this can be deadly, as it can lead to septic shock and even death. She was treated for this, and an upper respiratory infection, something also very common in shelter dogs. Now, this sweet girl is going to have a different ending!
Kali immediately endeared herself to the handlers with her sweet disposition and love of affection. She could easily wiggle her right into your heart as well!

Chappie-  Female - 2 Years - Flat Coat Retriever

Chappie arrived at the shelter through a friend of Canine CellMates. Alex Andes is a dog trainer, and she found Chappie in the middle of a busy road, and rescued him. She took him to Fulton County Animal Services, where we discovered him. I was thrilled when he passed our temperament assessment, after his stray hold was up, and couldn't wait to call Alex and let her know that the dog she saved had just become a Canine CellMates dog!!

Chappie is a beautiful glossy black Flat Coat Retriever. He has a temperament true to his breed and is a calm easy going boy who would be perfect for just about any home. Falling in love already? Don't wait - get your applicaiton in early for this beautiful boy!

After filling out the application, please submit it online, or print, scan it and email to: adopt@caninecellmates.org.
